Russell-Cooke shortlisted for four categories at the Personal Injury Awards 2025
Russell-Cooke has been shortlisted in four categories at this year’s Personal Injury Awards 2025, which recognise exceptional firms, individuals and service providers within the personal injury sector.
The firm has been recognised in the following categories:
- Claimant Lawyer of the Year (Nimmisha Aslam)
- Clinical Negligence Lawyer of the Year (Jason Tang)
- Outstanding Case of the Year
- Clinical Negligence Team of the Year
These nominations highlight the strength, skill, and compassion of our lawyers and their commitment to justice for clients facing some of the most complex and sensitive challenges imaginable.
Senior associate Nimmisha Aslam has been shortlisted for her outstanding work with victims of the Grenfell Tower fire, where she played a pivotal role in securing life-changing compensation for survivors and bereaved families. Associate Jason Tang has been recognised for his leadership in the UK’s first successfully settled “switched at birth” claim, which has also been nominated for Outstanding Case of the Year.
These nominations also reflect the exceptional collaboration and expertise of our clinical negligence and personal injury teams, whose dedication and innovative approach continue to deliver justice and closure for clients across the country.
We are incredibly proud of these nominations, which showcase both the individual brilliance and collective strength of our team. Nimmisha’s tireless work with Grenfell victims and Jason’s ground-breaking leadership in the switched at birth case highlight what we all strive for in this profession — combining legal excellence with deep compassion for those we serve.
The switched at birth case in particular broke new ground, requiring creative thought and persuasive argument in an entirely new category of claim, and reflects our team’s ability to find innovative legal solutions that respond to society’s evolving challenges. The recognition of our clinical negligence team as a whole is equally well-deserved. I’m proud to work alongside colleagues who demonstrate, every day, the courage, empathy and skill that define Russell-Cooke.
The Personal Injury Awards celebrate the achievements of individuals and organisations working to deliver justice, support and redress for those affected by personal injury. We’re honoured to be recognised among such outstanding practitioners and look forward to celebrating with peers at the awards later this year.
Winners will be announced on 27 November at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate.
