Russell-Cooke strengthens medical negligence practice with new hire
Russell-Cooke has recruited Adam Lamb to its medical negligence team, strengthening the firm’s specialist expertise in complex claims involving spinal cord and acquired brain injuries, as well as its inquest work.
Adam joins Russell-Cooke having spent more than 13 years at Leigh Day. He has over a decade of experience acting exclusively for claimants in complex medical negligence cases and inquests, and qualified as a solicitor in 2017.
Adam advises on a wide range of medical negligence claims, including birth injuries, acquired brain injuries, amputations, fatalities and stillbirths, as well as claims arising from delays in diagnosing cancer and other serious illnesses.
He has particular expertise in cases involving spinal cord injuries caused by clinical negligence, including substandard surgery, failures to diagnose and treat cauda equina syndrome, and delays in treating spinal abscesses and infections. He also represents families at inquests where loved ones have died following poor medical or psychiatric care.
Adam has acted in a number of significant and complex cases, including helping to secure an eight-figure settlement for a claimant who suffered severe brain damage following negligent care during birth, and securing compensation for a claimant following a negligent delay in diagnosing bladder cancer.
Adam brings significant experience across some of the most complex areas of medical negligence, including spinal cord and acquired brain injury claims and inquests. These are important areas of growth for our practice, and his appointment deepens the specialist expertise we can offer clients who are often dealing with life-changing circumstances. We’re really pleased to welcome Adam to the team and are looking forward to building on this work with him.
I’m delighted to be joining Russell-Cooke. What attracted me to the firm was its reputation for combining high-quality, specialist legal advice with a genuinely personal approach to clients. I’m particularly looking forward to developing my work supporting people affected by spinal cord and acquired brain injuries, as well as continuing to represent families through complex inquests. I’m also looking forward to working more closely with Back Up, a charity Russell-Cooke supports, which does hugely important work helping people and families affected by spinal cord injury.
Adam studied law at the University of East London before completing an MA in Medical Law & Ethics at King’s College London and the Legal Practice Certificate at BPP School of Law. He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
