After a difficult birth, many families are left with uncertainty - about the care they received, what could have been done differently, and where to turn for support.

In partnership with the Birth Trauma Association (BTA), our medical negligence specialists at Russell-Cooke are offering a free legal advice clinic on Friday 26 September 2025. The clinic will be led by consultant Bernadette McGhie and senior associate Amy Anderson, who are both recognised for their technical expertise and sensitive, client-focused approach.

These confidential 30-minute consultations (available in person or online) provide an opportunity to speak directly with our lawyers about your experience and to explore the options available to you.

How can we help?

Our team has represented families in cases involving:

  • Children diagnosed with cerebral palsy and other brain injuries sustained at or around birth
  • Women who have experienced psychological injury, as well as severe perineal tears, prolapse, or other unrecognised injuries during childbirth
  • Complex claims requiring persistence, medical insight, and long-term commitment to families

As members of the BTA’s legal panel, and through wider maternity care initiatives, we are committed not only to helping families secure justice but also to driving systemic improvements in women’s health and patient safety.

How do I book?

You can book a free 30-minute consultation with our team on Friday 26 September 2025. Appointments are available throughout the day and can be held either in person or online, depending on what works best for you.

To arrange your consultation, please contact Bernadette McGhie or Amy Anderson.

We are here to help you understand your options, regain confidence, and move forward in the way that feels right for you.
