Billy has a broad range of commercial and insolvency litigation experience, including director/shareholder disputes, civil fraud and banking and finance matters. He acts for both businesses and individuals, with a focus on resolving disputes efficiently and cost-effectively, whether through litigation, arbitration or alternative methods where appropriate.
With secondment experience at a major UK bank and a multinational retailer, Billy has a strong understanding of the commercial pressures clients face. This enables him to deliver straightforward, pragmatic advice to clients that supports their long-term goals and helps minimise exposure to legal and commercial risk.

Experience
- Acted for large bank on a $65.5 million cross-border dispute relating to a major construction project in the Middle East
- Appointed receivers on behalf of UK lender in relation to a multi-million pound development project and advised on bankruptcy proceedings against personal guarantors
- Advised shareholder on a dispute arising out of a put and call option agreement following a purported transfer of their shares in a drag-along scenario
- Acted for major UK bank in High Court litigation, including high profile enforcement proceedings and a dispute over early repayment charges (involving allegations of fraud)
- Assisted with €50 million Commercial Court unlawful means conspiracy claim as well as widely reported c.£20 million fraud related joint venture dispute
Education
- Obtained a first class degree in law from the University of Exeter
- Completed the LPC with an MSc in Law, Business and Management (distinction) at the University of Law
