I pride myself on a proactive and responsive approach with clients and to driving deals forward as effectively as possible.
Chris has a broad range of experience in development, investment, property finance and landlord & tenant matters. His experience spans a number of sectors including industrial, office, retail, private wealth and hospitality. Chris acts for institutional investors, developers, lenders, private clients and a number of well-known occupiers.
Chris qualified in 2010 and trained and qualified as a lawyer at Pinsent Masons LLP where he worked for a number of years before he joined Russell-Cooke in 2021.
Chris Barkley has an excellent pro-active nature and problem solving ability. He also provides an industrious work ethic.
Experience

Numerous investment acquisitions for institutional investors. Including a £20 million 25 unit industrial estate, a £7.5 million 17 unit industrial estate and a £13.5 million 8 unit retail park

Acted on a £35 million acquisition of part of a prime central London office building for a private client to convert into a luxury residence

Acted on a forward purchase of a £13 million+ hotel site in Bournemouth

Acted for an internationally renowned jeweller and art and antique dealer on its London HQ relocation and refurbishment

Acted for a Korean luxury fashion brand on the letting of its flagship London store

Acted on numerous loans in respect of development sites for a major UK development lender
His strongest point, I would say, is the ease of personal contact and approachability. Too many times in the past with other firms I would become frustrated waiting for an email or a call back.
