Three West Midlands pubs have to pay fines and costs of more than £327,000 for showing Sky Sports illegally in a successful private prosecution.

The case was led by Matt Bosworth, head of regulation at law firm Russell-Cooke, on behalf of Fact, the Federation Against Copyright Theft, and its member, Sky UK. The claimant predicted that it would prompt many more private prosecutions over copyright theft.

Matt Bosworth appears in The Times The Brief saying "this case was the largest of its type ever undertaken by Fact".
