What you will expect us to tell you:
At Russell-Cooke you will get an unrivalled breadth of work; every trainee is recruited in the hope they will be a future partner; you will be a wheel not just a cog; you’ll get lots of client contact, training and support.
What you will not expect us to tell you:
What you will not expect us to tell you: we entrust key stages of our Gradaute Recruitment and Vacation Scheme to our Senior Associates; we care deeply about all our staff; you’ll be home for Bake Off; the support doesn’t end with your training contract; you’ll develop friendships for life. You definitely won’t expect us to say you may get a chance to do some beekeeping.
The reality of training contracts can often fall short of expectations
Trainee solicitors can find themselves stuck in a firm they find unwelcoming, or doing jobs that bore or frustrate them. We offer you stimulating work in a friendly and well-equipped professional environment. Our trainees are not expected to just spend their time photocopying or researching points of law (although that happens of course).
Our aim is to give you the chance to manage your own casework and deal directly with clients, learning the practical skills of client and file management with proper support. Employing trainees is a two way process. So we are particularly committed to giving you positive and practical training.
There are lots of unexpecteds at Russell-Cooke because we are not a regular firm. Our training contract is unique. Don’t just take our word for. Take a look around our website, visit us at law fairs and talk to our trainees.
“They give you a crash course of what it’s like as an associate on the team”
