Joseph John, 29, has post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety after being forced to lift his disabled partner and child through the window of their second-floor Grenfell Tower flat on the night of the disaster, before climbing to safety himself.

But he has been shunted through a series of hotel rooms and temporary flats ever since the blaze.

Russell-Cooke associate Jodie Green, who represents Mr John and other Grenfell survivors, comments in The Evening Standard that race continues to play an important role in housing in the UK.
