Russell-Cooke promotes three to partnership
Russell-Cooke is pleased to announce the promotion of Nimmisha Aslam (personal injury and medical negligence), Amy Chapman (family and children law) and Tom Deely (trust and estate disputes) to partner, effective 1 July 2026.
These promotions reflect the firm’s continued investment in its people and its commitment to strengthening key practice areas.
The new partners are:
Nimmisha Aslam: personal injury and medical negligence
Nimmisha advises on a wide range of complex personal injury and clinical negligence claims involving both physical and psychological harm, including catastrophic and fatal accidents, workplace injuries, brain injuries, and birth and maternal trauma. She has particular experience in cases where mental health failings result in the death of a third party, and regularly represents families at inquests and in related civil claims. Nimmisha also acts for individuals affected by the Grenfell Tower fire and is a longstanding advocate for access to justice. She was featured in The Lawyer Hot 100 2025 and won Claimant Lawyer of the Year at the 2025 Personal Injury Awards.
Amy Chapman: family and children law
Amy is an experienced children law solicitor acting for parents, children, and wider family members in both private and public law proceedings. Her work includes complex child arrangements disputes, cases involving domestic abuse, alienating behaviours, relocation, and child abduction matters, as well as sensitive public law cases involving non-accidental injury, mental health, substance misuse, and deprivation of liberty. Amy is known for her clear advice and compassionate, client-focused approach.
Tom Deely: trust and estate disputes
Tom specialises in complex domestic and cross-border trust and estate disputes. He acts for both claimants and defendants in will validity disputes, trustee and personal representative removal applications, disputes as to domicile and applicable law, property trust disputes, and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. Tom acts for a broad range of clients, from ultra high net worth individuals to vulnerable clients, and has extensive experience representing protected parties in litigation.
I am delighted to welcome Nimmisha, Amy and Tom to the partnership. Their promotions are richly deserved; each of them has made a real impact through the strength of their expertise and their commitment to delivering the very best for clients. It is fantastic to see them take this next step, and I’m excited to see the contribution they will continue to make as partners and the role they will play in our future.
These appointments also highlight the firm’s strategic focus on areas of growing demand – building on the personal injury team’s standout profile and reputation for complex, high-impact work, the continued expansion of its highly regarded children law practice, and the strength of its trust and estate disputes offering across both domestic and cross-border matters. We are proud to recognise Nimmisha, Amy and Tom’s achievements within these key areas and to celebrate their well-deserved promotions.
These appointments bring the total number of partners at Russell-Cooke to 65.
