Russell-Cooke strengthens restructuring and insolvency practice with senior associate hire
Russell-Cooke has expanded its restructuring and insolvency team with the appointment of Peter Leckey as a senior associate, further reinforcing the firm’s ability to advise clients on complex cross-border and contentious insolvency matters.
Peter brings more than two decades of experience advising on corporate and personal insolvency matters. He acts for a broad range of clients, including directors, companies, insolvency practitioners, creditors and individuals in financial distress, with particular expertise in contentious work such as fraud disputes, judgment enforcement and multi-jurisdictional litigation before English courts, arbitral tribunals and offshore jurisdictions including the British Virgin Islands and Bermuda. His recent work includes complex enforcement proceedings against a sovereign state, advising office-holders investigating insolvent businesses across multiple sectors, and pursuing claims against company management and antecedent transaction actions.
Peter qualified in 2004 and previously worked at a major international private client-focused City firm. He is also admitted in the British Virgin Islands (non-practising), bringing valuable insight into offshore and multi-jurisdictional disputes.
