Managing Partner and family law partner James Carroll has been interviewed by Tom Cox for Legal Business as part of their Pride Month coverage, where he discusses the importance of representation in leadership and the need to champion inclusion across the profession.

James highlights Russell-Cooke’s commitment to equality and social justice as a long-standing value rather than a response to trends, and stresses the need for firms to stay grounded in core principles. He also recognises that more progress is needed, particularly in improving ethnic diversity across the profession.

The full diversity spectrum needs to be celebrated and championed. It says the profession is no longer traditionally structured or dominated in the ways it was a decade ago. Visibility is important. That makes a difference.
