Russell-Cooke sponsored the 25th anniversary Silicon Cup Regatta, which brought together teams from the technology sector for two thrilling days of sailing on the Solent, from 16–17 September 2025.

This milestone event celebrated a quarter of a century of competition and charitable impact, raising funds for four charities: The Genie's Wish, The Andrew Simpson Foundation and the Greig City Academy, along with a new charity partner: The Final Straw Foundation.

As principal sponsor for the third consecutive year, Russell-Cooke once again supported what is the UK’s largest IT networking event on water. Over its 25-year history, the Silicon Cup has welcomed more than 7,500 competitors and raised over £1 million for charity.

The results

The 2025 edition saw fierce competition across both the Prometheus 41 and IRC fleets. Members of Russell-Cooke’s corporate and commercial team, led by partner Peter Jeffery, took to the water and secured second place in the IRC 1 Class. Go Reply delivered a standout performance across the fleet to claim the title of overall champion.

IRC

A gala dinner and charity auction helped boost the fundraising total, reinforcing the event’s commitment to making a positive impact both on and off the water.

Reaching 25 years of the Silicon Cup is a tremendous milestone. This anniversary edition was a fantastic celebration of sailing, teamwork and charitable fundraising. It was inspiring to see participants competing fiercely on the water while supporting such worthy causes. Congratulations to all the teams, and especially to Go Reply for their outstanding overall performance. We are already looking forward to next year’s event.
