Russell-Cooke sees 12 lawyers listed in Best Lawyers UK 2024
Russell-Cooke features once again in this year’s Best Lawyers in the UK report, with 11 lawyers listed. Eight partners and four consultants are named.
Partners Jae Carwardine (crime), Janice Gardner (personal injury and clinical negligence), Samantha Little (children), Fiona Read (family), Andrew Studd (charities) and Sarah Towler (personal injury and clinical negligence) maintain their ranking. Ed Wanambwa (immigration) is listed for the first time this year.
Consultants, Peter Cadman (regulation), Richard Frimston (private client), Camilla Thornton (family) and James Sinclair Taylor (charities) also maintain their previous ranking.
Best Lawyers is a global directory which covers 76 countries, 148 practice areas and receives over 13 million peer reviews every year. Lawyers who are nominated for consideration are voted on by currently recognized practitioners working in the same practice area and geographic region.
Listed partners
Andrew is a partner in the charity and social business team. He advises charities, social enterprises, trade associations and other membership and not-for-profit organisations on a wide range of charity and company law issues and commercial matters.
Ed is a partner and head of the immigration team. He has considerable experience of advising national, large multi-national companies and publicly listed companies on the full spectrum of UK immigration law as it relates to their businesses and their employees.
Fiona is a partner and head of the family team in Putney. She has extensive experience in all aspects of family law. Fiona frequently handles cases with an international element and which often involve high value financial settlements in divorce, disputed arrangements with children (including re-location to other countries) pre and post-nuptial agreements and co-habitation and property disputes. She is also noted for her expertise in matrimonial finance work.
Jae is a partner and head of the fraud and criminal litigation team, with over 20 years’ experience and with a proven track record in dealing with high-profile cases. She has particular expertise in representing professionals who find themselves accused of criminal matters with potentially career-threatening implications or intrusive media interest.
Janice is a partner in the personal injury and clinical negligence team with over 30 years’ experience. She has a varied caseload of both clinical negligence and personal injury cases, but her main area of expertise is in infection, spinal injuries and brain injuries.
Sarah is a partner in the personal injury and clinical negligence team. She advises clients on a wide range of claims, including cases involving misdiagnosis of symptoms, negligent operations, road traffic accidents, work accidents and tripping accidents. Sarah also represents bereaved families at inquests involving deaths in hospital and the workplace, road traffic accidents and suicides.
Samantha is a partner and head of the children law team, advising clients on all aspects of children law. She is experienced in assisting a range of clients including vulnerable adults and children and handles cases in an empathetic yet practical manner
Listed consultants
Camilla is a consultant in the family team. She has almost 30 years' experience advising on all aspects of family law including divorce, separation, financial settlements, cohabitation and matters involving children. Her particular expertise lies in advising mid to high-net-worth individuals, including non-residents, on their financial settlements following separation and divorce.
James is a consultant in the charity and social business team. He works with a wide variety of charities, not-for-profits, local authorities and government departments with a focus on governance and structure issues.
Peter is a consultant specialising in professional and financial regulation. As a consultant In the regulation team Peter advises companies and their individual directors in matters relating to regulatory and criminal law issues, from corruption to potential money laundering offences.
Richard is a consultant in the private client team. He advises clients in relation to their estate planning, wills, probate and tax planning issues and offers Notary Public services. Areas of expertise include cross-border estates and international private law issues.
