Russell-Cooke advises Banor Capital on refinancing and restructuring of Silverstone Hilton Garden Inn—Property Week
As featured in Property Week, Russell-Cooke has advised long-standing client Banor Capital on the refinancing and restructuring of the Hilton Garden Inn overlooking the iconic Silverstone Circuit.
Investment management firm, Banor Capital secured a £40 million loan to support the refinancing of the four-star, 197-room Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone.
Russell-Cooke's real estate, planning and construction team advised on the transaction, led by partner Chris Barkley and supported by partner Pippa Beesley; legal directors Joanna Crow and Laura Kennedy; senior associates Joe Maloney and Laughlan Steer; and trainees Ted James and Ben Bramble. The deal also drew on the expertise of restructuring and insolvency partner Simon Jerrum, corporate and commercial partner Rachael Taylor and associate Sunil Landa.
This is one of the most significant hotel transactions in the UK market in 2026, and the timing couldn’t be better with the Formula One British Grand Prix taking place this weekend. We have seen a real uptick in interest and activity in the sector over the last 12 months and have acted on a number of hotel deals which together demonstrate strong signs of a welcome recovery in the industry and investor confidence increasing.
The transaction was featured in Property Week on 2 July 2026.
