Russell-Cooke returned as headline sponsor of the Silicon Cup Regatta, bringing together teams from across the technology sector for two days of competitive sailing, networking and fundraising on the Solent on 15-16 September 2026.
This year's event marked a new chapter for the regatta as competitors gathered at its different venue in Ocean Village, Southampton.
As headline sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, Russell-Cooke once again supported what has become the UK's largest IT networking event on water.
Over its history, the Silicon Cup has welcomed thousands of participants and raised more than £1 million for charity. This year's regatta continued that tradition, supporting four charity partners:
The 2026 edition saw 13 teams take to the water. Representing Russell-Cooke were corporate and commercial partners Peter Jeffery and Thomas Clark, legal assistant Mark Norman, tax partner Conor Brindley, disputes partner Mark Fletcher, and trust and estate disputes partner Sarah Arnold.

Alongside the racing, a charity auction helped boost fundraising efforts, with supporters donating a range of prizes and experiences in aid of the event's charity partners. Supporting charitable initiatives that benefit local communities and help protect the marine environment aligns closely with Russell-Cooke's commitment to being a responsible business.
Once again, the Silicon Cup Regatta delivered an excellent combination of competitive sailing, networking and fundraising. It was fantastic to see so many teams come together in support of the event's charity partners. Russell-Cooke was delighted to finish in second place.
